This was a fun album to make, and I really think I leveled up while working on
it. As far as the sound and themes, I wanted to show my love for '80's new wave
and electro, while still keeping things nice and weird. There's also a little
bit of drum & bass in there. Quite a big video game music influence too,
particularly the Gameboy (a system I played so much as a kid that I ended up
needing a second one wince I wore out the first one's screen.) I went pretty
deep on fine-tuning everything, and there is a lot of "microsurgery" of beats
and samples. When I made this album, I had just bought a Korg Electribe ES-1,
and was totally infatuated with it and used it on just about every track.
