MACRO - OMNIBUS 2000-2014 2017 ✦ ink, marker, paint, collage, photography, CG ✦ album box set packaging    I'd been meaning to give some of my music to my friend Ethan, so when he moved out of Nagasaki in 2017, I decided to make him a fancy boxed set as a going-away present. It contains six Macro albums, and a bonus disc with odd & ends (new tracks, cover songs, remixes, and a brief live show.) I decided to redo all the packaging for these albums, in the form of mini-LP sleeve style packaging. This involved making new layouts for art I'd designed in the past, and finessing it all to meet my current standards. I was living in Japan at the time, where CDs aren't dead yet, and was able to find really a nice hard plastic thick case to fit all these albums into, and made outer packaging for that, which you see here. I had so much fun making this all by hand, that I bought more supplies and decided to make a limited batch to give to my close friends and family. Over the last four years, I've given out ten more, and have enough of those unique thick outer casings left to make maybe six more, then that's it! It's been way too long since I've made an album's worth of music, since 2011 to be exact. I made a few new tracks in 2013 & 2014, then made some attempts in 2018, before my already busy life got significantly more busy and stressful. It's not been a very conducive decade for music making for me, so this box set acts as a good end of a chapter - whether for good or just until later, I don't know. Whatever I make next, if the time comes, will probably be pretty different, and that will be the start of something new!
